I just saw this ad online and I had to share it. This thing is called Beardo and yes, it is exactly what it looks like. A beanie with a face mask that is made to look like a beard! I find this so very amusing. 

The Avengers-Ending Scene Explained

So many of you probably went out and watched the new "Marvels: The Avengers" movie that came out this year. I was one of them and yes... I went to see it at midnight. I have to admit that I have been looking forward to watching this movie with Ironman came out and we got to see that Nick Fury would be played by Samuel L. Jackson. I got even more excited when I found out that Joss Whedon would be directing is as I am a big fan of his work. 

OK... now for the good stuff! I watched The Avengers and I LOVED it!!! It was funny but not corny. Stuck to the general storyline that most comic book fiends and lovers of all things superhero's but still gave things a fresh take, thanks to the directors vision, that made it enjoyable for both nerd and non-nerd to watch.

I figured I'd give you a fair warning before I shared anything else. If you haven't watched it yet, which I assume you have, and don't want any spoilers to the movie than it would be best not to read on.

So the Avengers End Scene shows an odd looking purple alien with a broad chin and wide smile. This had most people excite since it's obvious by the ending that there will be and Avengers 2 somewhere in the hopefully not too distant future. However, most people left scratching their head wondering 'Who the heck was that guy?!'. Well thankfully, I have the answer.

Mr. Purple Alien Dude is Thanos. Still scratching your head? Don't feel bad. This guy isn't what most would call a big main character like Thor or The Hulk. So for the sake of keeping things interesting I'll stick to the main points of who this guy is.

Thanos is what is known as an Eternal and comes from the Saturn moon Titan. His obsession with death started at a fairly youngish age but he literally fell in love (yes, love. Like burning deep inside passion fueled love.) with Death when it materialized in the shape a very sexy seductive looking woman known and Mistress Death. Thanos wanted to earn Deaths love so he began searching for ways to be godlike as he considered her to be.

After some time, Thanos manages to get his hand on The Cosmic Cube which was highlighted in the movie "Captain America: The First Avenger". The Cosmic Cube turned Thanos into a powerful god and that when the Avengers step in and bing, bam, boom... they get it back. As it turns out, due to those events, Thanos isn't what you would call an Avengers fan. Go figure...

So there you have it! The Purple Alien is some dude named Thanos. Weather he'll be the main bad guy pictured in the second Avengers, Director Joss Whedon wouldn't say but that doesn't make things any less exciting. There's a Avengers 2 in our futures! Let's hope it hold up to it's high expectations and delivers another engaging entertaining movie we can all freak out and talk about.
